How does Vorbtech use personal and organisational contact data?
What information does Vorbtech collect?
Depending on how you interact with Vorbtech, we may collect:
- Contact details such as name, official email address, telephone number, role, and organisation.
- Information submitted through contact, demo, assessment, newsletter, and pilot-application forms.
- Business context such as organisation size, workflow challenges, desired outcomes, and preferred timing.
- Technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, referral URL, and security logs.
- Communication records, delivery events, unsubscribe requests, and other correspondence.
Public organisational contact information
Vorbtech may record a generic organisational address that an organisation publishes on its official website for business, partnership, newsroom, or general enquiries. We record the organisation, address, source URL, verification date, outreach status, and suppression status.
We do not treat a publicly listed address as newsletter consent. Organisational outreach is kept separate from newsletter subscriptions. We do not intentionally use confidential tip lines, source channels, or named personal addresses for this campaign.
You may object by replying to the message, using its unsubscribe link, or emailing us. Once an objection is recorded, we retain the minimum suppression record needed to prevent further outreach.
How does Vorbtech use information?
We use information to respond to enquiries, assess pilot or service fit, provide requested communications, operate and secure the website, maintain business records, measure service performance, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information. We do not add pilot applicants or organisational outreach recipients to the newsletter unless they separately choose to subscribe.
Cookies, analytics, and email measurement
Vorbtech may use strictly necessary storage for security, preferences, form continuity, and core website operation. Non-essential analytics or advertising technologies should be used only with the required notice and choice.
Email systems may record delivery, bounce, complaint, and unsubscribe events needed to operate messaging safely. Open pixels and link tracking are not used for the initial Argus organisational outreach sequence. Where additional measurement is used, it must follow the applicable notice and consent requirements.
Consent, business communications, and your choices
Where consent is required, we request a clear affirmative action and keep a record of that choice. Consent can be withdrawn as easily as it was given. Transactional messages may still be sent when necessary to respond to a request or administer an agreed service.
Every marketing or organisational outreach process must honour opt-outs. Email delivery and engagement reporting should not override your right to object to direct marketing.
Argus founding-pilot data
The Argus pilot application collects organisational and workflow information needed to assess fit. Applicants must not submit confidential sources, source-identifying records, unpublished allegations, credentials, or sensitive investigation material.
If a pilot proceeds, the signed order form, readiness acceptance, data-handling record, and retention plan define the parties’ detailed responsibilities. The founding pilot is limited to public, non-sensitive material.
Service providers and disclosure
Vorbtech may use contracted providers for hosting, databases, email delivery, customer relationship management, analytics, security, and AI processing. Providers receive only the information needed for the configured service and are subject to applicable contractual and security controls.
We may disclose information where required by law, to protect rights and systems, or as part of a properly managed business reorganisation. We do not authorise providers to use pilot material for unrelated purposes.
Processing outside Nigeria
Some technology providers may process or store information in other countries. Before using such providers for a service, Vorbtech considers the information involved, provider terms, security measures, and any transfer safeguards required by applicable law.
Product-specific provider and processing details are recorded during the Argus pilot readiness review where relevant to the approved workflow.
How long is information retained?
We retain information only for as long as needed for the stated purpose, security, dispute handling, accounting, legal compliance, or an agreed service. Contact and application records are periodically reviewed. Suppression records may be retained longer so an opt-out is not accidentally reversed.
Argus pilot retention, exports, account removal, deletion, and backup expiry are agreed before active use and reviewed at closeout.
What privacy rights can you exercise?
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, erase, restrict, or receive a copy of personal information; object to direct marketing; withdraw consent; or complain about how information is handled.
Send requests to admin@vorbtech.com.ng. We may request enough information to verify the request and protect records from unauthorised disclosure.
Security, children, and policy updates
We use administrative, technical, and organisational measures proportionate to the services and information involved. No internet system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Vorbtech services are intended for organisations and are not directed to children. We may update this policy when services, providers, or legal obligations change. The current version and effective date will remain on this page.
